3 I’ve found a friend in Jesus,
He’s everything to me, He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul; The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.

4 In sorrow He’s my comfort,
in trouble He’s my stay; He tells me every care on Him to roll.

5 He’s the Lily of the Valley,
the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the Fairest of Ten Thousand to my soul.

6 He all my grief has taken,
and all my sorrows borne; In temptation He’s my strong and mighty tow’r; I’ve all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn From my heart and now He keeps me by His power.

7 Though all the world forsake me,
and Satan tempt me sore, Through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal.

8 He’s the Lily of the Valley,
the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the Fairest of Ten Thousand to my soul.

9 He’ll never, never leave me, I’ve nothing now to fear,
nor yet forsake me here, While I live by faith and do His blessed will; A wall of fire about me, I’ve nothing now to fear,

10 From His manna He my hungry soul shall fill. Then sweeping up to glory
to see His blessed face, Where rivers of delight shall ever roll.

11 He’s the Lily of the Valley,
the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the Fairest of Ten Thousand to my soul.

13 Walk a Little Plainer, Daddy

14 “Walk a little plainer, daddy,” Said a little child so frail.
“I’m following in your footsteps, And I don’t want to fail.

15 Sometimes your steps are very plain, Sometimes they’re hard to see.
So walk a little plainer daddy, For you are leading me.”

16 “I know that once you walked this way And what you did along the way
A long, long time ago; And what you did along the way I’d really like to know.

17 For sometimes, when I am confused, So walk a little plainer daddy, –
I don’t know what to do. So walk a little plainer daddy, – So I can follow you.”

18 “Some day when I’m grown up, You’re like I want to be;
Then I will have a little child Who will want to follow me.

19 And I would want to train her right, So walk a little plainer, daddy,
And help her to be true. So walk a little plainer, daddy, For we must follow you.”

25 “Principles” for Living
a Godly Legacy

26

27

28 Living a Godly Legacy Stand firm in your faith

29 ...Be careful, keep calm and don’t be afraid. Do not lose heart...
If you do not stand firm in your faith,     you will not stand at all. Isaiah 7:4,9 (NIV)

30 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord,
thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

31 Living a Godly Legacy Stand firm in your faith Guard your heart

32 20 My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words
20 My son, pay attention to what I say;     turn your ear to my words. 21 Do not let them out of your sight,     keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them     and health to one’s whole body. 23 Above all else, guard your heart,     for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:20-23

33 Living a Godly Legacy GUARD YOUR HEART

34 Living a Godly Legacy

35 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and
is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

36 Living a Godly Legacy TEMPTED

37 There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

38 Living a Godly Legacy TEMPTED
ATTACKED TEMPTED

39 "Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against
the schemes of the devil.“ Ephesians 6:11

40 Living a Godly Legacy TEMPTED
ATTACKED BITTER OR CRITICAL TEMPTED

41 14 Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15 so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Philippians 2:14-15

42 Living a Godly Legacy TEMPTED
ATTACKED BITTER OR CRITICAL ANXIOUS TEMPTED

43 …do not be anxious about anything, but
in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

44 Living a Godly Legacy TEMPTED
ATTACKED BITTER OR CRITICAL ANXIOUS TEMPTED WEARY

45 “Come to Me, all you who are weary in heart, and you will find rest
and burdened, and I will give you rest.   Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29

46 Living a Godly Legacy TEMPTED
ATTACKED BITTER OR CRITICAL ANXIOUS TEMPTED WEARY WITNESSING

47 11 “And when you are brought to trial in
the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how to defend yourself or what to say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said.” Luke 12:11-12

48 Living a Godly Legacy Stand firm in your faith Guard your heart Live in expectation

49 Living a Godly Legacy Stand firm in your faith Guard your heart Live in expectation That the Lord is in control

50 5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him
5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. Psalm 62:5-6

51 Living a Godly Legacy Stand firm in your faith Guard your heart Live in expectation That the Lord is in control Looking for our Lord’s return

52 10 And while they went to buy, the
bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’

53 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. Matthew 25:10-13

54 Living a Godly Legacy Stand firm in your faith Guard your heart Live in expectation Do everything in love

55 and admonition of the Lord.
4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

56 Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin' Daddy's hands, were hard as steel when I'd done wrong Daddy's hands, weren't always gentle But I've come to understand There was always love in Daddy's hands

57 Living a Godly Legacy Stand firm in your faith Guard your heart Live in expectation Do everything in love Be there

58 your children, talking of them when
19 You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

59 20 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, 21 that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth. Deuteronomy 11:19-21

60 Living a Godly Legacy “Some day when I am grown up,
You’re like I want to be; Then I will have a little child Who will want to follow me. And I would want to train her right, And help her to be true. So walk a little plainer, daddy, For we must follow you.”

61 with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
What Next? 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:21-22

62 What Next? Your walk Talks louder than Tour talk talks…

63 What Next? Stand firm in your faith Guard your heart
Live in expectation That the Lord is in control Looking for our Lord’s return Do everything in love Be there

64 How Deep the Father’s Love

65 How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure

66 How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory

67 Behold the Man upon a cross
My sin upon His shoulders Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers

68 It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished His dying breath has brought me life I know that it is finished

69 I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection

70 Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer But this I know with all my heart His wounds have paid my ransom
