What do you notice about the way he interprets: the narrative voice The symbolism The American Dream The setting The characters The dialogue: do any lines stand out? Anything else that strikes you? Is there anything that you can reinterpret/reassess as a result of looking closely at these clips? Does the director bring out any meanings you hadn’t seen?
