In 1921, the first Grade I class was held in the house of Mr. Florentino Baldovino under Mr. Melecio Alcos. In 1922, the house of Mr. Teofisto Baldovino was used by the Grade II class under Mr. Narciso Panganiban. In 1923, Mr. Panganiban handled the Grade III class in the house of Mr. Aniceto Dumaraos. In 1924 a 5-room BPS school building was built in the present school site. The school serviced the students from San Lorenzo, San Buenaventura and Sta. Catalina. In 1924, under the leadership of Mr. Sixto Baldovino, the school site was acquired piece by piece through donations and purchased of adjoining lots. In 1932, the same BPS building was relocated at the center of the site. In , Sta Catalina became a complete elementary school.
