2. Segments in a Circle: Review
Radius – A segment in a circle that has one endpoint on the center of the circle and one endpoint on the edge of a the circle.
Chord – A segment in a circle that has two endpoints on the edge of the circle.
Diameter – A special type of chord (endpoints on the circle) that passes through the center of the circle. The longest distance measurable across the circle.
Secant – A line that pass through the circle and intersects it at two points
Tangent – A line that touches the circle only once and is perpendicular at the point of tangency.

When two chords intersect inside a circle, the product of the segments of one chord equals the product of the segments of the other chord.
