Paper Towns is a novel written by the american author John Green and was published on October 16, 2008, by Dutton Books.The book debuted  at number five on the New York Times bestseller list for children's books and was awarded the 2009 Edgar Award for best young adult novel. A film adaptation was released on July 24, 2015.

3. The author
John Michael Green (born August 24, 1977) is an American author, vlogger, writer, producer, actor and editor. He won the 2006  Pritz Award for his debut novel, Looking for Alaska, and his sixth novel, The Fault in Our Stars, debuted at number one on The New York Times Best Seller list in January 2012.
Aside from being a novelist, Green is also well known for his YouTube ventures. In 2007, he launched the Vlog Brothers channel with his brother, Hank Green
John Green was born in Indianapolis ,Indiana. Later his family moved to Orlando, Florida.There he attended Indian Springs School .He used Indian Springs as the inspiration for his first book Looking for Alaska.

4. Story line
Paper Towns is a novel about a very “special girl”and a boy who has always thought that she is some kind of magic.The boy-Quentin "Q" Jacobsen  is trying to find his childhood love Margo Spiegelman when she goes missing after one “night ot revenge”.During his search for his mystery girl, Quentin and his friends find several clues that Margo has left them.Eventually the clues lead them to her but her reaction is nothing they imagined.They expect her to be grateful for their concern but she is not.She did not want to be found.

Quentin Q Jacobsen – a rule follower.He wants the dream-the good job,getting married before 30 and the cute little kids.He has had crush on Margot since he was a kid but the distance between them gave him a false impression of her.
Margo Spiegelman-a rule breaker,”paper girl”.She is one of the popular girls at high school.She likes to be out of her comfort zone and she is ready to leave anytime in order to chase a new adventure.
Ben Starling-one of Q’s friends.Travels with him to find Margo
Marcus “Radar” Lincoln – Q’s best friend.His parents own the biggest collection of black Santas.
Lacey Pemberton- the best friend of Margo.Their realtion ship is weird.Margo thinks that Lacey has always been judgemental with her.

7. Movie adaptation
The film adaptation was released on July 24,2015.The movie received mixed reviews.The main role of Margo Spiegelman is played by the model Cara Delevigne.Nat Wolff got the role of Quentin Jacobsen.
