1. Immediately treat causes in which a victim’s life is threatened. (most serious when person is not breathing, has no heart beat, has severe bleeding, is choking, or poisoned)
2. Send someone to call for help or look for help. Always give the full information about the extent of the person’s injuries.
3. Treat the accident victim for shock.
4. Examine the victim for other injuries that may require first aid.
