3 School Psychologist Shortage
Nearly 50% of school psychologists nationally were expected to leave the field by 2015, with a full two-thirds expected to leave by 2020 (Brock, 2015) Michigan Critical Shortage List Ideal ratio of school psychologists to students is 1: (NASP Practice Model, 2010) A totally non-representative sample of 12 local SP reveals ratios of 1:1063 and 1:2.9 buildings

6 Internships Culminating graduate school experience
Typically 3rd year of training 1200 Hours required (NASP) 2 hours per week of supervision Certified Psychologist at least 3 years (NASP) Paid or Unpaid Michigan: Most interns qualify for Preliminary School Psychologist Certificate
