What are the three principal causes of quarrel? Which do you feel is most evident in our culture. Explain. According to Hobbes, what determines a time of war? What analogy does he use to help reinforce this premise? Is our culture more inclined to war or peace? Why? What is life like for industry in a time of war? What is life like for man in a time of war? Does Hobbes’ argument hold up in today’s culture? Think of an example.
