4 Upper Austria Kaiservilla Bad Ischl

5 Kaiservilla Bad Ischl:
It was the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth of Austria. It was built in 1860. On the 28th of July, 1914, Emperor Franz Joseph signed the declaration of war on Serbia in his study in the west wing of the house which further developed the First World War. The Kaiservilla Bad Ischl complex, which includes the Kaiservilla, the park, the Kaiservilla kitchen building, the former gardener’s house, the Marmorschlössl and the buildings of the Fotomuseum of the State of Upper Austria and the Landesmusikschule, are under monument protection.

6 Lower Austria Melk Abbey

7 Melk Abbey: The abbey was founded in 1089, when Leopold II gave one of his castles to the Benedictine monks from Lambach. In the 12th century the monastic school, the Stiftsgymnasium Melk, and the library soon became renowned for its extensive manuscript collection. Today‘s Baroque abbey was built between 1702 and 1736. The school was returned to the abbey after the Second World War.

9 Schloss Schönbrunn: It is situated in the 13th district of Vienna called „Hietzing“ Many popular people spent a lot time of their lives there, like Eleonora Gonzaga, Franz Joseph, Maria Theresa and so on. The whole Schönbrunn complex with Tiergarten Schönbrunn, Palmenhaus, Wüstenhaus, the Gloriette and the Wagenburg, account for more than five million visitors. It’s the most famous tourist destination in Vienna, attendend by 2,600,000 visitors in 2010.

11 Lake of „Neusiedl“: It‘s the largest drainless lake in Central Europe.
Next to the lake is a big thermal bath where you can relax. The lake of „Neusiedl“ is one of the few steppe lakes in Europe, like the lake of „Velence“ or the „Zicksee“. It is located in both Austrian and Hungarian territory.

15 Minimundus: It‘s a place where you can see many famous buildings of the world There is for example a reproduced Eiffel Tower or the Big Ben It‘s fun for adults and kids! It was built in 1959 and it‘s one of the most famous sights in Austria

It was built in 1420 On the 25th february 1536 Jakob Hutter was public burned in front of the golden roof In 2007 the building of the golden roof was opened as a museum It is situated in Wattens 1995 the Crystal Worls were built because of the 100-year-anniversary of the Swarovski Gmbh The sight was renovated in 2014/15 and re-opened on the 30th April 2015

It takes approximately one month full of famous operas and theatres It takes place on a floating stage called ,,Seebühne“ There are not only operas presented, also theaters and musicals like the West Side Story are listed

Originally the „Schloss Altenau“ was built in 1606 It was renamed as the „Schloss Mirabell“ by Marcus Sitticus For the plubic it was first opened in 1854 by the Emperor Franz Joseph Today the castle is used as the official offices of the mayor of Salzburg
