Settings Application This is where you control almost everything on your device. It is very important to keep this icon on your doc so you have easy access to it.

Setting up Wi-Fi First tap on the Settings app
Find Wi-Fi on the left, second from the top. Tap on Wi-Fi to choose a network Choose the school network Most often you can choose guest and then you should see your Wi-Fi sign full in the upper left-hand corner of the screen

Setting up an Apple ID Click on the App Store icon located on the main screen Tap search in the menu bar at the bottom of the home screen Tap on the spot near the icon that states free Create an Apple ID Make sure to note your username, password and security questions

FaceTime Click this link for a video tutorial Tap on Facetime App
Click get started and type in the Apple ID you created in the App Store Click + sign to add a contact Type in their name and address When you want to call a person, tap on their name and then tap their address

Setting Up Mail Tap the App labeled mail
Choose an account you would like to receive from If you choose other mail, this may or may not work depending on the type of account Set up the account by putting entering then information: name, , password, etc.

Calendar Tap Calendar App Three views – list, day, month
Tap + sign to add an event Tap calendars to edit and add more calendars Tap done when complete

Use of iPod (con’t) Double tap the home button to see all of the Apps you entered recently Hold down on an icon until it wiggles. Press the minus sign to remove it from your shortcuts only. This will not remove the app from your iPod.
