he became a doctor and went to the front to look after injured soldiers in the First World War. In 1938, he came to to treat the Chinese soldiers. He opened hospitals and wrote books so that doctors could learn about new treatments. In the end ,he died because he didn't stop to take care of his hand. He gave his life to helping the Chinese people.
