7. Area of a rectangle
The area of a rectangle is a measure of how much surface it takes up.
Area is measured in square units.
The area of a rectangle is the product of its length and the breadth.

= length x breadth

9. The perimeter of a rectangle
Total length of the boundary of a rectangle is called perimeter of the rectangle. Perimeter of a rectangle of length ”l” and the breadth ”b” can be found using the following following formula Perimeter = 2l+2b =2(l+b)
