Advancement RC Advancement is responsible for managing the brand of the university and promoting it to potential students, elected officials, alumni and the greater community. Advancement serves as a resource to all units across campus. Advancement also partners with the Clarion University Foundation, Inc., to provide services to alumni relations (e.g. Clarion Today magazine) and support for fundraising services. Team includes: Marketing and Communication, PAGES, Sports Information.

Advancement RC – Budget Realignment
We have looked critically at positions during the last 3 fiscal years. FY ‘14 =16 FTE, FY ‘15 = 14 FTE; FY ‘16 = 12 FTE Loss of 4 FTE, nearly 35% Tightened marketing budget to $800K Efficiencies with Zimmerman Agency, focus on flexible, cost-effective digital marketing efforts. Major reduction in Foundation MOU spending MOU calls for $1.4 million per year Current year, funding was reduced to $995K Next 2 FY’s spending will be reduced another $745K each year These savings are realized throughout the university RCs

Advancement RC – Highest Priority Activities
Partner with Enrollment Management on recruitment of new students; traditional, online, military, degree completers. Identify and implement opportunities for faculty, staff and students to engage with key audiences; community partners, elected officials, alumni. Provide design and printing resources for campus partners. Communicate key university messages to local, regional and national media outlets.
