Student Intervention Services
Student services Support and advocate for individuals and groups Crisis intervention Serve on-call 24/7 Coordinate University response to critical incidents and other emergencies affecting students’ welfare Case management Provide ongoing support and coordinate services Consultation Advise faculty and staff on managing student concerns

Special Services Confidential support
Provide options counseling, hospital and court accompaniment to entire Penn community Respond on-call 24/7 Dedicated unit separate from police Investigate crimes sensitive in nature Can make police reports but not obligated to do so Not limited to geographical boundaries

Education Provide trainings for student leaders and staff Facilitate group educational programming for student organizations Prevention Create and uphold policies and procedures Reduce risk in the environment for students Intervention Provide harm-reduction counseling through First Step Collaborate on crisis intervention and case management

SZ has been absent from her lab for the last three days and has not responded to the advisor or the graduate coordinator. The department requests a wellness check.
