Login to the web user interface by entering into the address bar of a web browser
Users will be taken directly to the basic UI page
Click on Switch to advanced view down the bottom of the basic UI page

Status Tab
The status tab provides a general overview of all the routers settings
Nothing can be configured on this page, it is just an overview page.

6. Advanced UI Network Setup Tab
This tab allows users to setup their Internet connection in more detail.
On the network setup page, users can configure advanced settings for an ADSL, Mobile Broadband or Ethernet WAN connection
In the wireless and password pages within this tab, users can configure and change their WiFi and password settings – replicates what is available in the basic UI

7. Advanced UI Forwarding Rules Tab
This tab provides options for port forwarding, port triggering, placing a device behind the router into a de-militarized zone (DMZ) and universal plug n play.
These options are required for certain applications such as games, video conferencing and Internet telephony software to allow them to communicate with remote servers.

8. Advanced UI Advanced Settings Tab
Consists of useful utilities and advanced options for administrators:
A Log of system activity.
Dynamic DNS – useful for remotely accessing the router and devices behind it when it has a dynamic IP address
Quality of Service – useful for guaranteeing multimedia applications are not affected by the activity of other users on the network.
SNMP – allows administrators to remotely manage the router.
Routing configuration, System time (NTP) configuration.
Scheduling configuration to enable or disable services based on the day and time.
IPv6 configuration options.
Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN) configuration options.

9. Advanced UI VoIP Settings Tab
Contains settings related to the Voice over IP function of the router.
Users can configure options including:
Ports
Codecs and their priorities
Service name and password
WAN interface that VoIP will use
DTMF settings
STUN server settings
Caller ID, Call waiting
Do not Disturb setting

10. Advanced UI NAS Settings Tab
Allows users to configure a USB drive attached to the router as a Network Area Storage (NAS) device which is accessible to other users of the network.
Access permissions may be configured as well as a built-in FTP server.
Users can download files from the internet directly to the attached drive using the Download Assistant function.

The Toolbox tab provides various settings for administration and maintenance of the router:
System information
Routing table
Configuration backup and restore
Firmware upgrade
Reboot and logout
Reset router to factory default settings
Access to the Startup Wizard

Wireless dropouts
Does the client connect to other networks?
Is the client within range of the router?
Can you see the SSID on the client?
Are there other devices within range of the client/router that could cause interference
Go to the advanced section of the UI, click on Network Setup and select a different wireless channel. We recommend channels 1, 6 and 11. See if there is an improvement

DSL not synchronising
Contact carrier, most likely to be line issue
DSL synchronising but Internet not connecting
Check username and password as per iiNet requirements

Can’t connect to
Check physical Ethernet connection
Run ipconfig to check IP address is within DHCP range
Check client is set to obtain IP address automatically

Can’t login with default username and password
Most likely cause is that someone has changed the default username/password
Press and gold the reset button for seconds to reset the device
Try again with the default username/password of admin/admin

How to upgrade Firmware
Go to the advanced setting page
Click on the Toolbox menu and then click Firmware Upgrade
Press Browse and locate the Firmware (saved in a local location)
Click Upgrade to proceed.
The process should take a few minutes and the router will reboot automatically

Modem keeps resetting itself to factory default settings
Upgrade the firmware
Then go to the Toolbox menu in the advanced setting page
From the Toolbox menu, select Reset to Default

The LEDs do not light up
Test the modem at a different power point
If this doesn’t work, try using another power adapter with 12VDC / 2.5A input voltage
If the LEDs still don’t light up, the unit may be faulty
