AIG Services in Grades 6-8
Students are placed in advanced math and or language arts classes if they are identified as AIG in one of those subjects. A co-teaching model may be used where the AIG and classroom teachers collaborate, plan, and teach together. The AIG teacher may pull out small groups of students or push in to the AIG classroom to facilitate instruction.

AIG Accelerated Services Grades 6-8
Students identified as “accelerated” in math and/or reading will receive additional service time with the AIG Specialist in each identified area at least once a week for a minimum of 45 minutes.

AIG Program Service Options
AIG Cluster Groups in Math and ELA classrooms “Pull-out” time with the AIG Specialist and/or Co-Teaching with AIG/Classroom Teachers Grade Acceleration for Math (beginning in grade 6) Classroom Differentiated Instruction

AIG Activities May Include:
Differentiated Interest-Based Inquiry Projects; Problem and Project-Based Learning 21st Century Skills/ Integration of Technology Advanced Literary Experiences (Exposure to a Variety of Complex Text) Emphasis on Higher Order, Critical, and Creative Thinking Skills Multi-disciplinary Units or Integrated Projects Curriculum Compacting, Paideia Seminar Teaching, and Tiered Assignments
