What’s a secondary source?
Any critical, peer-reviewed article found on one of our databases here at NP. We’ll talk about how to access these secondary sources tomorrow (you’ll need to find 2 of these articles)

What should my topic be? Topic should be arguable. If you can’t argue against your topic, then it’s not a suitable topic for your paper.

For Today… Choose a topic for your critical paper.
Write a three-pronged thesis statement. Here’s an example of a three-pronged thesis statement from a different piece of literature… In Shakespeare’s play, The Tragedy of Macbeth, the title character’s tragic flaw of ambition is coaxed along at first by the prophecies of the Weird Sisters, then by Lady Macbeth, and finally by his own delusions of power and paranoia.

Goal for tomorrow Go directly to library, please do not be late!
Find at least 2 articles related to your topic/thesis Print out those 2 articles (you don’t have to, but I highly suggest it)
