Research interests: signal and image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision and biomedical informatics.
Published over 70 journal and conference articles to date.
Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Chair of the Signal Processing Society Malaysia Chapter from 2008 to Under his stewardship, the chapter won the inaugural IEEE Signal Processing Society Chapter of the Year Award in 2011.
Currently serving as the Chair of the IEEE Malaysia Section since January 2017.
