2 PHYSICAL EDUCATION GRADING POLICY
Each student will earn up to: 5 points per day when the activity of the day includes motor skills practice (ex. throwing), games (ex. capture the flag) and sports (ex. soccer).

3 PHYSICAL EDUCATION GRADING POLICY
Each student will earn up to: 5 points per day when the activity of the day includes motor skills practice (ex. throwing), games (ex. capture the flag) and sports (ex. soccer). 10 points per day for when the activity is fitness-related (ex. cardio run, circuit training).

Earning points will be based on: Demonstrating Your best effort throughout the entire class period.

Earning points will be based on: Demonstrating your best effort throughout the entire class period. Making improvements with motor skills development, knowledge of games and sports, and individual fitness levels.

Being attentive during teaching lessons, while following directions, staying on- task, and demonstrating good sportsmanship.

7 PHYSICAL EDUCATION GRADING POLICY
Points will never be deducted toward students who are less athletic than others. Earning points are subjective and are based on the level of effort you demonstrate throughout the class period.

Pants and shorts must be tightly secured around your waist. NO sagging. The length of all shorts must meet the school’s dress code policy. Shoe laces must be tightly secured, in order to prevent shoes from slipping off of your feet during participation.

Students who are not dressed appropriately for P.E. will be: Running the entire period instead of participating with your class.

Each student will have his/her own P.E. locker. Please purchase a padlock to prevent theft and vandalism. Once you have your padlock, go to Mr. Nash to register for a locker and record your locker combination with him.

Any student who is legally absent or excused from participating in class will not receive a grade for the day. your grade will remain neutral.

Any student who is legally absent or excused from participating in class will not receive a grade for the day. your grade will remain neutral. Any student who is absent or excused from participating for more than ¾ of the quarter will receive an “I” or “Incomplete” grade for the quarter. Any student who is absent or excused from participating for the entire quarter will receive an “NG” or No Grade for the quarter.

One Mile Run), and written assignments that are missed will need to be made up by the end of the quarter.

Any student who cannot participate in Physical Education for up to three days must have a parent or guardian complete the Excuse from Physical Education Form. Once completed, you must take the form to the office where copies will be made for the school’s health assistant and your P.E. teacher.

Handwritten notes on another piece of paper or notepad will not be accepted. If you give your teacher an unacceptable note, you will not participate with the class, however you will receive zero points for the day for not providing the appropriate form.

46 Physical Education Fundraising
In order to raise money to purchases Physical education Equipment, Mr. Nash sells water bottles. You may purchase a water bottle in the P.E. Office for $1.00. Before receiving your water bottle, you must write your name, The Quantity of how many water bottles you are purchasing, and how much you are paying.
