The sentence game is a way to get kids to critically think and work together.

2. The Sentence Game
The sentence game is played with all students standing in a circle. Play after a brief discussion of the meaning of the political cartoon. Give a sentence stem. Each student then says one word (only one!) to complete the sentence. The sentence doesn’t have to make it all the way around the circle. Once a sentence dies out, start a new stem.
Another version (more advanced): Write a list of words on the board. Have students speak around the circle like above, however they must use all the words within a certain amount of time or a certain number of times around the cirlce.
Example: Entreprenuer, Big Business, Philanthropist, Laissez Faire, Labor Union, Corruption
OR -- use as sentence stems…. students complete the statement aloud.

3. Populist Parody. Corny, but fun.
