Course Credit and Attendance
Earning Course Credit Must earn course credit to graduate One course equals 1 credit Minimum of 27 specific credits to graduate Importance of Attendance If you aren’t in class, you cannot pass 6 Unexused Absences equals no course credit

Hybrid Schedule Block and Year Long Classes
Block classes last 1 semester English I and Algebra I are year long Student can choose Honors English and Honors Algebra Other Freshman Required Subjects World History Physical Science or AgScience Wellness 5 Electives

Programs of Study Every student must have a Program of Study
3 – 6 credits must be taken within the Program of Study Students may choose more than one Program of Study Program of Study courses are taken in addition to required courses in most cases

Registration Students will register through Skyward
If you do not know how to log into Skyward you will need to contact BCMS for that information If you do not have internet access you can contact BCMS and they will assist students registering online

Registration - Honors HONORS
You do not have to take Honors English and Algebra – you can take either one. All students who register for Honors courses will be reviewed by 8th grade faculty and Mrs. Kristie Factors Considered Test Scores Grades Work Ethic

Registration - Honors How do honors courses effect class ranking?
Class ranking is determined by your gpa Your gpa is determined by the final grade in each of your classes. GPA Scales A B C D Regular classes Honors classes Dual Enrollment

Registration Registration will be open March 1 – 15
You will not always get everything you choose Contact Mrs. Johnson at BCHS or Mrs. Merriman at BCMS if you have any questions about the registration process
