2 What is NSCS? NSCS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1994 on the campus of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. NSCS is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is a recognized organization at over 330 campuses across the country.

3 Welcome to NSCS? An Honors Organization That Recognizes And Elevates High Achievers We invite high-achieving first- and second-year college students that rank in the top 20% of their class. NSCS provides career and graduate school connections, leadership and service opportunities and gives out a million dollars in scholarships annually.

Want to earn extra points, help our organization while having something delicious? Wednesday, August 30th from 4pm – 8pm your receipt(s) to Quynh Trinh, Secretary at Address: 2301 Glades Rd. Creating cards for hospitalized kids Location: FAU, room TBA If you come to a community service event, you will receive 25 points. If you have any questions or are interested in participating

11 iLead Weekend Dates: September 22-24th
NSCS members will receive 50 POINTS for registering under the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. To receive your points, you would only be required to attend either the Friday or Saturday session. Register today at Registration ends September 15th. Please to confirm your registration.

12 Induction Ceremony Saturday, November 4th Location: TBA Time: 7pm-10pm
If you are a new member, you are invited to our induction ceremony where you will be officially inducted in our organization and receive your NSCS pin. If you come to the induction ceremony event, you will receive 25 points. Invitations to register will be sent out soon. Please contact Ariana Nemeth, VP of Events, at if you have any questions.

13 General Body Meetings Sept 21st (Thursday) at 7 pm Location: TBA
October 26th (Thursday) at 7 pm You will receive 20 points for each meeting you attend, 5 extra points for wearing your NSCS shirt, and 5 extra points for bringing a friend to the meeting.

15 Social Media Scholarship
At every NSCS event, take a photo and post it to your social media accounts. Tag the social media account of the NSCS national office and the FAU NSCS account. @nscs The person with the most number of posts for this semester will receive a scholarship!

16 Stay Active 🌟 In order to remain active in Owl Central:
You must have a minimum of 100 points & purchase the FAU NSCS shirt The winner with the most points will receive a scholarship The member that is the most active on social media will receive another scholarship

18 FAU NSCS T-SHIRTS You are now able to purchase your FAU NSCS member shirt for This shirt is a one time purchase and everyone is welcome to purchase additional shirts so friends and family can represent our organization. Members need to have a shirt and 100 points per semester in order to be considered an active member. If you purchased a FAU NSCS shirt last year (Spring 2016 semester) and have not picked it up yet please You have until September 30th to pick up your shirt.
