Recent accomplishments include Women’s Swimming – 3rd in State , (State Champions ), Men’s Swim & Dive – 7th in State Go Bear Cubs! Forensics (Speech & Debate) Team are National Champions. Polar Bears Ice Hockey Team – a student club sport – are Pacific Coast Hockey Association champs - years in a row. Since 1972, SRJC’s Summer Repertory Theatre has enrolled over 8,000 students who have received advanced training important to their professional goals. Many of these students have transferred to major schools, and are employed in the television and movie industries and in theatres across the nation.

SRJC awarded 2,030 associate degrees and 2,641 certificates in Did You Know? In 2016, 243 students transferred to the University of California system; 863 students transferred to California State Universities; 389 students transferred to In State Private and Out of State Universities Nearly 80% of SRJC applicants to the University of California are accepted. In Sonoma County about 40% of high school graduates who attend college the fall after graduation enroll at SRJC.

8 STUDENT SERVICES Staff and services are available and ready to help students be successful, healthy, and to feel supported in college. Career Center Counseling Disability Resources EOPS Foster Youth Success Student Health Services Transfer Center Welcome Center/Dream Center EOPS – Extended Opportunity Programs and Services EOPS is a state funded program which provides special services to eligible EOPS students. Services Provided: Priority registration Bilingual assistance in Spanish Book vouchers – available each semester from the SRJC Bookstore for book purchases Application Fee Waiver for Transfer Students – EOPS provides admissions fee waivers for CSU & UC Counseling – academic, vocational and personal To be eligible for the EOPS Program, you must meet all five of the following factors: Residency Factor – Be a resident of California Enrollment Factor – Be a full time student (12 or more units) Unit Factor – Not have completed more than 70 units that are applicable to a college degree Educational Factor – Be determined as educationally disadvantaged by the EOPS Office Economic Factor – Qualify for a Board of Governor’s Waiver (BOGW) Disability Resources – Transition to College Program Transition to College is an outreach effort through the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Disability Resources Department (DRD) designed for graduating high school seniors who have received Special Education services and plan on attending SRJC. Students will learn about services from the Disability Resources Department; get information about being a student at SRJC; take English and Math Placement tests with EXTRA time and be eligible to REGISTER EARLY for fall classes. Undocumented students, start at the Dream Center The Dream Center is a “one-stop shop” in a safe, caring place for undocumented students new and continuing at Santa Rosa Junior College. Students will receive personalized support as they begin their college journey. Dream Center staff are here to create a welcoming experience while students navigate matters related to AB540 admissions, DACA, the California Dream Act, EOPS (Extended Opportunities Programs & Services), the BOG (Board of Governors) Fee Waiver, referrals to Assessment & Counseling, and the essentials of full matriculation at SRJC. On a monthly basis the DREAM center provides legal services to students of SRJC and high school students for FREE on a 15 – 20min session per client. The DREAMERS club provides several scholarships throughout the year for DREAMERS at Santa Rosa Junior College. Foster Youth Success Program The program is available to provide resources and support for current and former foster youth. School supplies and snacks available for the students in a welcoming environment. Two peer mentors are part of our Bear Cub Scholars, a peer mentor program that contains a cohort of 25 students, supporting their first year experience.

12 Scholarship Programs The Doyle Scholarship
Application period – opens October 2 SRJC Foundation scholarships Continuing student scholarships (over 400 scholarships) Transferring student scholarships (over 275 scholarships) Business & community scholarships A scholarship is a gift of money paid for the benefit of a student at an educational institution to aid in the pursuit of studies. Incoming, continuing, and transferring students may apply for scholarships. Scholarships recognize outstanding students for academic achievement, financial need, academic field of study, community service, campus activities, and outside interests. Doyle Offered to qualified high school graduates who will be attending SRJC full-time (minimum of 12 units). For students planning to complete an associate’s degree, units necessary to transfer to a four-year institution, or a career/technical certificate program. High school seniors must have an overall (unweighted) Grade Point Average (GPA) = 2.75 or higher. Passage of the CHSPE is also accepted in lieu of a high school diploma. Apply early!
