Preparation Meet with deans, directors, IT, academic advisors, and other interested parties Form project implementation team Create project timeline Review and revise four-year plans—standardize across campus if possible! Decide to use consulting services—or not Develop detailed implementation plan—but be flexible enough to know it will change

Who will build Roadmaps? Where will you start? Which naming convention standards will you follow? What uAchieve Planner features will you release? Correct & maintain Student Information System data

Testing Who will test? Schedule time to test
Review all types of output—let no stone go unturned, no button un-pressed Create maintenance procedures as you implement Update Documentation Take more notes than you think you need

Ongoing Maintenance Align with other curriculum update processes— yearly catalog updates Execute maintenance procedures (use the lists you took the time to create!) Pay attention to version releases Continually update documentation

Be prepared to update your encoding Understand the importance of accuracy—students will find the mistakes you didn’t know you made Have student testers—soft launch to group of knowledgeable peer advisors Take notes—document what you did and why! Know your limits and be prepared to say “not yet” Celebrate!
