Activity since RP#55 part 1
RAN5#55 was held in Prague, The Czech Republic, over the period May 12; 95 delegates signed the attendance sheet (120 registered!!) 533 non TTCN CRs were RAN5 agreed of which 39 were agreed after the meeting using the RAN5 review process (about 7%) Of the non TTCN CRs, 169 were UTRA and 364 were LTE related; about a 30/70 split UTRA/LTE 2 non-TTCN CRs raised by TF 160 are going directly to the Plenary for approval (post meeting housekeeping) In addition 178 TTCN CRs were RAN5 agreed using the normal agreement process 3 work items were completed at RAN5#54 and 4 WI proposals were RAN5 endorsed and are being presented for approval - slide 8 refers Rel-10 Carrier Aggregation (CA) continues to gather momentum but to expedite progress it was agreed to hold a dedicated RF CA bis meeting in late September – slide 10 refers

Activity since RP#55 part 2
A TF 160 has developed all of the Rel 8 LTE priority 1, 2, 3 & 4 test cases; progress as at 07 Jun 12 shown below; FDD delivered out of 456, of which 388 are verified (from RP#55) TDD delivered out of 436, of which 322 are verified (from RP#55) A TF 160 has developed all of the Rel 9 LTE test cases (no priorities have been allocated yet; progress as at 07 Jun 12 shown below; FDD - 17 delivered out of 49, of which nil are verified TDD - 17 delivered out of 49, of which nil are verified Based on the most recent details of voluntary contributions, there is still an estimated 14 man month short fall to meet the 2012 task list During RAN5#55 a recommendation identifying those areas ‘at risk’ for completion in 2012 was accepted; to be presented later for endorsement TF160 status report provides more details of the above, which can be found in RP , to be presented later

Rel 10 Carrier Aggregation
Progress on CA conformance requirements Work plan updates include 8 new and 2 TC removals (R refers) Test environment using the generic scenarios is progressing; basic test frequencies, default CA parameters and RF call procedures are in place In addition to over 40 CRs, Signalling is analyzing the maximum number of cells used in CA tests and RF agreed a way forward for test tolerances & uncertainties Several ongoing actions issued for applicability issues regarding different CA scenarios and test description details, as well as for signalling channel configurations. Release 11 CA work Rel-11 CA work related to band specific configurations was discussed (R refers) Agreed to a single WI structure with all release independent CA configurations from Rel-11, proposal to be made at RAN#57, General Agreements To expedite the CA work it was agreed to hold a dedicated RF CA bis meeting in Sep 12 Split of TCs into Intra-band and Inter-band test cases in both, RF and Signalling, which almost doubles the number of TCs in RAN5#56. To summarise: the WI is at 25% with solid CR progress and framework/ad-hoc discussions; RAN5#56bis to be held in Sep; SR in RP refers.
