5 Stepping Up Started in 2009, largely thanks to funding from Inspiring Scotland Delivered in 11 local authority areas 70+ schools 1571 young people supported Targeted transitions programme for young people who have a learning disability and/or ASN

98% of those engaged go onto a positive destination 335 have achieved paid employment 197 training programmes including Modern Apprenticeships 745 FE Places & 60% are mainstream courses 1777 work placements delivered 4977 soft outcomes achieved

23 Successes Highlighted as example of best practice in ‘Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce’ by Sir Ian Wood Encompasses recommendation 33 - Young people with disabilities should have focused and tailored career advice and work experience opportunities.to help them to develop and realise their potential. Education Scotland highlighted Stepping Up as effective intervention for young people with ASN Particularly able to engage young people in the labour market
