2 Principal Parts of Verbs:
the base form, the present participle, the past, and the past participle.

3 Regular Verb: forms its past and past participle by adding –d or –ed to the base form

4 Irregular Verb: forms its past and past participle in some way other than by adding –d or –ed to the base form. Irregular verbs form their past and past participle in various ways: By changing vowels By changing consonants By changing vowels and consonants By making no changes

5 Tense: The tense of a verb indicates the time of the action or of the state of being that is expressed by that verb.

6 Past Perfect: existing or happening before a specific tie in the past.

7 Past existing or happening in the past.

8 Present Perfect: existing or happening sometime before now; may be continuing now

9 Present: existing or happening now

10 Future Perfect: existing or happening before a specific time in the future.

11 Future: Existing or happening in the future

12 Consistency of Tense: Do not change needlessly from one tense

13 Active and Passive Voice:
Active voice—expresses an action done by its subject. Passive voice: expresses an action done to its subject. In passive voice, the verb phrase always includes a form of be and the past participle of the main verb. Other helping verbs may also be included.
