Your merit badge pamphlet - Answers to most questions are in the merit badge pamphlet. Worksheet - Write all answers on your worksheet. Write neatly. Print your full name, troop number and phone number at the top of the first page. Here is the link for the worksheet.

Requirement One Pgs. 7 & 8 Explain what citizenship in the nation means and what it takes to be a good citizen of this country Answer these questions: What does citizenship in the nation mean? What does it take to be a good citizen? What are the rights, duties and obligations of a responsible and active American citizen? Video Remember: Most answers are in the pamphlet!

7 Requirement Two Do two of the following:
Prerequisite Requirement Two Do two of the following: Visit a place that is listed as a National Historic Landmark or on the National Register of Historic Places. Tour your state capitol building or the U.S. Capitol. Tour a federal facility. Choose a national monument that interests you. Using (with parents permission) the internet and other resources, find out about the monument. - Discuss with your counselor what you learned Video Pgs

9 Pgs. 39&40 Requirement Three Watch the national evening news five days in a row OR read the front page of a major daily newspaper five days in a row. Discuss the national issues you learned about with your counselor. Choose one of the issue and explain how it affects you and your family

12 The Constitution gives us the foundation for all laws in the U.S.
It was written in 1787 by Constitutional Convention. It went into effect March 4, 1789. The Constitution includes: The Preamble Seven Articles The Bill of Rights (first 10 amendments) Amendments (amendments 11-27) The US Constitution
