vv. 1-9—Daniel beholds a mysterious “man” in a vision, one who came with an answer to Daniel’s three-week prayer-fast.
vv —The mysterious divine messenger in formed Daniel that he was greatly loved and that the answer to his prayer would have come sooner had the messenger not been delayed by the prince of Persia.

3. APPLICATION
OPEN YOUR EYES—Scripture is clear that God’s people are engaged in war; however, this war is not merely physical (cf. Eph. 6:12).
PRAY WITH POWER—One of our primary weapons is prayer. In prayer, we not only align our priorities with God’s; we also lend a hand to angels fighting on our behalf. The church must be steadfast in prayer.
