Fill in parent info and be sure to have your parents sign

7th grade schedule AB Math Language Arts and History
Students are placed in math classes based on math placement test taken in Spring.

7th grade schedule Science 7 Health/Life Science Honors Science 7
Extends and deepens student understanding of Science 7 material (placement test in Spring)

7th grade schedule PE All 7th graders must take PE
Must choose between co- ed or athletic PE 0 period and lunch PE are options All combinations of electives with the exception of Teen Living/Art or Teen Living/Film Studies will qualify students to take lunch or zero period PE

Electives Please choose your electives carefully! Unless there are special circumstances, students must remain in their chosen elective for the entire school year. Students should list 4 electives in order of preference. Students should be satisfied with all choices, as they may be placed in any of these choices.

Electives Performing Arts
Most performing art electives have unlimited seating Application Electives (A) Applications are due when you turn in your registration materials. (Peer Counseling, Leadership, Yearbook, Journalism, and AVID) Other options include: Computer Applications 7 Robotics 7/8 Teen Living/Art Teen Living/Film Studies Forensics

How to Fill Out Your Elective Application
List your 4 elective choices Be sure they match your registration form elective choices Answer the listed questions on a separate sheet of paper for each elective Answers must be typed

Elective Application Student and parent must sign the Code of Ethics

Elective Application One letter of recommendation from your 6th grade teacher is required. Your GIS will turn these in to GR. Applications are due to your counselor with your registration materials

AVID Designed for motivated students who want to be exceptional
AVID is an elective class offered to hard working students who would like to prepare for four-year universities. The curriculum features writing, inquiry, collaboration, reading, note-taking and study skills, as well as college, career, and motivational activities. Students must commit to taking notes in subject-area classes on a daily basis. Helpful for students who struggle with time management/organization Other requirements for applicants are satisfactory citizenship, good attendance, and G.P.A. of

Academic Interventions
Academic Seminar Focus on reading, comprehension, writing, language, homework Study Strategies Receive C-/D grades consistently Focus on study skills, academic skills, and organization skills Math Strategies Students who need support in Math 7 will be placed in Math Strategies as their elective.

6th Grade Parent Nights Both meetings will begin at 6:30pm in the Granite Ridge Gym Campus tours will be available starting at 5:45pm Parents may attend either of the meetings listed Monday, March 13th Thursday, March 16th
