2. Last week we lit the candle of Hope on our beautiful Advent wreath
Last week we lit the candle of Hope on our beautiful Advent wreath. Miss Greaves asked us all to think of one way we could show Hope last week. As we light this candle let us think about the way we showed Hope last week. H O P E

6. A candle is burning, a flame warm and bright, A candle of HOPE in December's dark night. While angels sing blessings from heaven's starry sky, Our hearts we prepare now for Jesus is nigh

7. Today we will continue to prepare our hearts to receive Jesus this Advent. On the Advent wreath we will light the second candle which is the candle of Peace.

8. A candle is burning, a candle of PEACE,
A candle to signal that conflict must cease
For Jesus is coming to show us the way,
A message of peace humbly laid in the hay.

9. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is our hope for peace
Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is our hope for peace. Let him continue to show us the way as we get a path ready in our hearts to welcome him this Advent.
This is the word of the Lord.
