11 Shepherds – minding their own business looking after things, Are startled by an unexpected happening, As angel choirs appear to them. Wise men – taking charts and telescopes and compasses Investigate the star that takes them travelling, Until they come to Bethlehem. Chorus Tonight’s events were planned in heaven, The greatest story ever penned. Heaven and earth have come together, And life has come to Bethlehem (repeat) And life has come to Bethlehem ..Yeah!

12 Tell Me a Story, Shining Star - Beech
Tell me a story shining star, Tell me where you’ve been Travelling both near and far, Places that you’ve seen. Sing me a song oh winter star, Sing it loud and true, Lullaby my listening ear, Then I’ll sing to you.

13 It was on a starry night It was on a starry night, when the hills were bright. Earth lay sleeping, sleeping calm and still; then in a cattle shed, in a manger bed, a boy was born, King of all the world.

14 And all the angels sang for him; the bells of heaven rang for him; for a boy was born, King of all the world.   And all the angels sang for him; the bells of heaven rang for him; for a boy was born, King of all the world.

15 Soon the shepherds came that way, where the baby lay, and were kneeling, kneeling by his side. And their hearts believed again, for the peace of men; for a boy was born, King of all the world.

16 And all the angels sang for him; the bells of heaven rang for him; for a boy was born, King of all the world.   And all the angels sang for him; the bells of heaven rang for him; for a boy was born, King of all the world.

17 Love Shone Down - All I had a dream that I was standing on a hillside, And all the lights of town were shining far below, When up in the air beautiful voices Sing a new song, let everyone know. Oh and Love shone down Over the hills and over the valleys, Oh and Love shone down Over the world.

18 Somebody spoke to me, I knew it was an angel
Somebody spoke to me, I knew it was an angel. He said: ‘There’s something that I think you ought to know.’ Then he just smiled, said: ‘Don’t be afraid now, Sing a new song, let everyone know.’ Oh and Love shone down Over the hills and over the valleys, Oh and Love shone down Over the world.

19 And then he told me all about the baby Jesus, How to find him, where exactly I should go. Then he was joined by millions of others, Sing a new song, let everyone know. Oh and Love shone down Over the hills and over the valleys, Oh and Love shone down Over the world.

20 Well, did I dream or was I really on that hillside, On that Christmas night so very long ago? When he was born, Jesus our Saviour, Sing a new song, let everyone know. Oh and Love shone down Over the hills and over the valleys, Oh and Love shone down Over the world.

21 Away in a manger Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
the little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay, the little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

22 The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, but little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes. I love you, Lord Jesus, I know you are near to love and protect me, till morning is here.

23 () Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask you to stay close by me for ever, and love me, I pray. Bless all the dear children in your tender care, prepare us for heaven, to live with you there.

24 Coventry Carol Lully-lullay, thou little tiny child, g? Bye-bye lully lul-lay. Thou little tiny child. Bye-bye lully lul-lay. Oh sisters too, how may we do, For to preserve this day? This poor young thing For whom we do sing Bye-bye lully lul-lay.

25 See him lying on a bed of straw – KS2 See him lying on a bed of straw, a draughty stable with an open door, Mary cradling the babe she bore: the Prince of Glory is his name. O now carry me to Bethlehem, to see the Lord of love again; just as poor as was the stable then, the Prince of Glory when he came!

26 Star of silver, sweep across the skies, show where Jesus in the manger lies; shepherds, swiftly from your stupor rise to see the Saviour of the world! O now carry me to Bethlehem, to see the Lord of love again; just as poor as was the stable then, the Prince of Glory when he came!

27 Angels, sing again the song you sang, sing the story of God’s gracious plan, sing that Bethl’em’s little baby can be the Saviour of us all. O now carry me to Bethlehem, to see the Lord of love again; just as poor as was the stable then, the Prince of Glory when he came!

28 Mine are riches from your poverty; from your innocence, eternity; mine, forgiveness by your death for me, child of sorrow for my joy. O now carry me to Bethlehem, to see the Lord of love again; just as poor as was the stable then, the Prince of Glory when he came!

O little town of Bethlehem How still we see thee lie Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight For Christ is born of Mary And gathered all above While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wondering love O morning stars together Proclaim the holy birth And praises sing to God the King And Peace to men on earth

36 How silently, how silently The wondrous gift is given
How silently, how silently The wondrous gift is given! So God imparts to human hearts The blessings of His heaven.
