3 Events of Act III Metellus asks Caesar to repeal the banishment of his brother Caesar refuses Conspirators stab Caesar – Casca first, Brutus last Antony lies to the conspirators about being loyal to them Brutus & Cassius argue about Antony speaking at the funeral Brutus wins – Antony will speak Brutus speaks first – they did it for the good of Rome Antony speaks last – convinces the plebians it was murder Brutus & Cassius flee Rome Kill Cinna the poet for having the same name as one of the conspirators

4 The Climax? Brutus and Cassius have fled Rome
(We know they’re not going to be considered honorable and will not get away with it. Caesar’s death WILL be avenged.)
