2 5 STAR COMMUNITY ACHIEVER PROGRAMME
MISSION To make a contribution towards Nation Building and Healing of our land, South Africa, and the Transformation of our Society, through the Development of Athletics, from Grassroots to the highest levels of Excellence OBJECTIVE (A summary of ASA constitution clause 3.2) The objective is to holistically identify 5 Star Achievers at local Municipalities; districts; provincial; national and international level. The primary target group is the age group 6-13 years, years, years, seniors, and older. 2

4 CONTRIBUTION OF PARTNERS
ASA and its Members will: Host, in collaboration with Members, its clubs, International, national, Inter-provincial, provincial and regional events Organize in collaboration with its Members projects that will develop the skills of the local community such as Coaching, Administration, Technical Officiating and Life Skills Select and present in collaboration with its provinces, representative Teams for District, Provincial National and international Champs Clubs and Schools provide human resources to participate in projects Municipalities will provide facilities and equipment Sponsors will: Finance Community Achiever Programme Use projects as marketing opportunities Use projects as social upliftment and development programmes 4

6 NETWORKING AT GRASS ROOT LEVEL
The athletics club, as registered member of ASA, through affiliation to the local ASA Province, will serve the community by operating within the borders of the Local Governments of the Province they are affiliated too Farms and informal settlements in Municipal Borders 1&2 Star Achievers at club level Schools in Municipal District Towns in the Municipal Borders 6

7 NETWORKING AT PROVINCIAL LEVEL
The ASA Province, as registered member of ASA, through direct affiliation to ASA, will serve the affiliated members by operating within the ASA provincial borders Clubs Coaches Technical Officials Volunteers 3 Star Achievers In Province Associated members Provincial Department Sport 7

8 NETWORKING AT NATIONAL LEVEL
ASA as registered member of the IAAF and SASCOC, will serve the affiliated members by operating and networking primarily within the borders of South Africa, and secondary provide licensed members with a support structure beyond the borders of South Africa Provinces Coaches Technical Officials Volunteers 4&5 Star Achievers Nat.-Internat. Associated members IAAF, CAA, SASCOC & SRSA 8

Top 10 Challenge for Schools (Track and Field + Cross Country) Objectives for SASA: To develop teams sports at school level To identify the top 10 athletes in Secondary and Primary Schools Expose Teachers from Schools to National Events To develop life skills and a healthy life style among children 10
