So what is the importance of RE?

It allows children to explore their ideas and discover the values and morals that they have.

It promotes respect and empathy for others which adds cohesion to a community and lessens discrimination

It gives children the opportunity to ask the big questions in life.....
What happens when we die? Why do disasters happen? Is there a god looking out for me?

RE provides the opportunity for reflection and creativity in thinking

RE explores the differences between religions and leads to tolerance and acceptance of others

RE provides the opportunity for collaboration and investigation
RE provides the opportunity for collaboration and investigation. This gives the children life skills of team work and problem solving
