Complete this assignment in your composition notebook next to your Alas, Babylon tab. Use the dictionary to look up the definition of each tone word. Write down your own definition of the word. Then create a sentence that relates to Alas, Babylon and uses the tone word in context. Example Tone word: bleak Definition: Adjective – without hope or encouragement of any kind; depressing or disheartening Sentence: Unwilling to adapt to the “new rules” of society, Edgar Quisenberry’s bleak outlook on the future ultimately drives him to end his life.
