2. Thermometer Calibration
Assemble thermometer
Place thermometer in cold water for 3 minutes.
Use glass thermometer to measure and record actual temp. of water.
Use a marker to mark the height of the water in the thermometer tube.
Repeat steps 2-4 using hot water.
Subtract the cold water temp from the hot water temp. Record
Measure (mm) the distance between the cold water mark and hot water mark. Record
Divide the distance between the marks by the difference in temp.
Example: 140mm / 60 degrees = 2.3mm/degree C
