2 Who's the true God? Key Question: How many of you believe in God?
Many people say they believe in God, but there are many different gods they claim to worship. Do you know the names of any of the false gods that people have worshiped? If I go to Saudi Arabia, the Muslim there will say Allah's the true God and Mohamed is his prophet. If I go to India, the Hindu's there will say that there are many gods, such as Brahmin, Vishnu, Shiva. If I talk to a Mormon, they might tell me that if I join their church I could become a good some day with my own world to create. Others will tell you that god is just a force within you, that you can find if you're spiritual enough. So let's see who the true God is.

No Rather since God is good what do we trust him to do? Give what is best What are some of the good things God has give you? (write on board) God + o = Good -- Who do you look to for all the good you want? God b) How do the cherubim describe God three times? Holy Since God is holy what doesn't he have? Sin In fact since God is holy, what is his attitude toward sin? He hates it How else do the cherubim describe God? Almighty Since God is almighty, what can you do? Anything C) What word tells us about God? Love How did God show his great love for you? He gave us Jesus and brought us to believe in him. What did his love work out for you so that us sinners can live with the holy God? He worked forgiveness by giving us Jesus. D) What does God call himself ?“I Am” -- LORD = Hebrew word that reminds us that he is “I AM” Since God is always, “IAM, does he change? NO. What do we call God to show that he doesn't change? Eternal Since God doesn't change, will he go back on his Word or change his mind about his promises? No What word means that he will keep his promises? Faithful Hie never brakes his Word but like an unbroken circle. Count on him

One Is anything or anyone else equal to the one, true God? No B) What does God call himself here? Father, Son, and Holy Spirit Are these just three different names, like we each have a first name, middle, name and last name? No. Are these just three different titles, like I'm a father to my children, a son to my parents, and a husband to my wife? No. The Son became human an d died on the cross. Did the Father or the Spirit also die? No. -- See how if these were just different names or titles, then the answer would be yes. Are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit distinct from one another. Yes. True or False: The Father is not the Son and the Son is not the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is not the Father. True True or False: Although the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct from each other, each one individually is God. True T/F So if each one is God, there must be three gods? False -- The mystery that God is three in one and one in three

Triune: God is three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) but one God; Trinity

12 Who's the true God? Key Question: The true God is the Triune God:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit = one God, the only Savior.
