Having a full-term pregnancy decreases your risk of breast cancer by 7%, with a further decrease of 4.3% for each year of breastfeeding.
Increase level of hormones at implantation of fertilized egg
Causing multiplication of immature/undifferentiated Type I and Type II breast cells
Causes an increase in breast size and sore/tender breasts.
After 32 weeks of pregnancy, these breast cells mature from Type III to Type IV or differentiated cells
This is important because the immature cells are where the pre-cancerous cells are found
Ending a pregnancy before 32 weeks only multiplies the number of cells where breast cancer is found.
