Provisional planning F. BUTIN / ELENA collaboration

6 How to split the challenge
SHOWN IN FEB 12 Four main directions of work: Plan to relocate the existing workshop, kickers and experiments devices into a new building Confirm space usage for ELENA (magnetic measurements, shielding, H+ or H- source) Plan circulation, access, space for racks etc Anticipate on future possible experimental areas F. BUTIN / ELENA collaboration

Integration Magnetic measurements showed that the existing situation should not cause problems Start design of machine supports in August, with non magnetic material (aluminium) More data has become available for H+/- source, allowing to work on integration Plan relocation of existing racks and start inventory of new racks needed F. BUTIN / ELENA collaboration

14 On the project management side
Two main documents in preparation: ELENA Quality assurance plan and project organization Naming conventions for the layout of ELENA F. BUTIN / ELENA collaboration

15 F. BUTIN / ELENA collaboration
Conclusions A major step forward was taken with the approval of the multipurpose AD extension building and Gbar experiment General ELENA planning redefined accordingly Based on this, and on a solid layout definition of the machine and transfer lines, we can progress on overall integration of experimental areas, shielding, accesses, services, etc… In parallel, the project management structure is being developed F. BUTIN / ELENA collaboration
