2 Breakfast Only 3 students, at a time, line up ABC order
Take no more than 3 items When timer goes off, breakfast is over Partner A tell Partner B what we do at breakfast. Then switch roles.

3 P.E. and Lunch P.E. is at 10:20 – 11:00 Lunch is from 12:05 – 12:45
Line up numerical order an wait for the Lunch Managers to give you your lunch card on your lanyard. You must wear it around your neck at all times in the cafeteria. No fumbling with it or playing with it. Music is at 10:20 – 11:00 on Tuesdays Remember CHAMPS! P.E. and Lunch

6 Help Ask 3 before me Ask others in your group for help, first
If you have aske 3 before me, then you raise your hand for help. If you can not get my attention after 10 seconds, please call my name. However, please do not try to get my attention when I am with another student. When I am with you, I will give you my undivided attention without interruptions from other students for you.

7 Activity After I have taught a lesson, you will have an activity to complete and collaborate on with your group to practice what I have taught you and see what you know. Collaborative Work - I expect each person in your group to participate in the activity. Everyone will participate and make a contribution. Individual Work will be completed individually. This is not to be done with a partner.

8 1. Beginning of Class Quietly walk directly to your seat, unless you have a classroom job to help start class. Pencil and all materials must be ready for use, before instruction. 2. During Instruction Stay in your seat and position yourself where you can see me. You can sit in your assigned seat or move to the front to see the board. Once you choose your learning location, you may not leave it. 3. Workstation and Collaborating with Groups You are stay at your work station. You may only leave it for a Kleenex, if you NEED it. You are to not walk to any other station. If your group has a question, only your leader may ask another group. Movement

9 Participation All students are expected to participate in class.
Discussions – How do you agree? How do you disagree? When may you speak? Stand when you speak and speak to the whole class (not just to the teacher). When I see that you are not participating, expect that I will call on you for a response or walk over to your group. Your body language tells me everything.

11 Rules Always show respect and courtesy.
Keep body and all objects to yourself. Return planner, homework and communication DAILY. Common Area violation. (PBIS) Follow CHAMPS.

12 Taking Care of Yourself
Restrooms - 1 boy and 1 girl at a time Kleenex - You may get a Kleenex without permission. Do not abuse this privilege. Nurse - Nose bleeds, fever, and serious injuries will be sent. No bandaid visits Assignment – If you did not get the paper passed out to you, please get it for yourself without asking from the Hanging Files. Pencil – If I am not teaching, you may sharpen your pencil without asking. Please do not ask. Only 1 person at a time.

Enter the classroom using CHAMPS Take out your AVID planner Copy assignments in AVID planner and follow directions on the board.

2.    ZAP- Zeros Are NOT Permitted a. Call parent and Lunch Detention     b.    Note in planner and 10 points late fine. 4. Study Hall on Thursday from 3:21 - 5:30 or until work is finished.

19 When you are tardy or absent:
When you are tardy, you must have a tardy pass from the office and place it on my desk. Let me know you are here. Absences: You are missing out on your learning, with your assignment, from your peers and from me. You fall behind. You need to be here everyday.

20 Assignments It is your responsibility to ask what assignments you missed and discuss the assignments with the Assignment Manager. If you have questions ask the AM, first, then ask me when I am not giving instruction BEFORE you go home. If you do not ask, you will still be held accountable for completing the assignment. You are responsible for your future. Learn now. You must complete your assignments as part of your education.

27 Successful Student The most successful people follow the Five D's and inspire others by helping other be successful. What does a successful student look like? Each part of your being matters. How can you make a difference with your hands? Head? Eyes? Hearing? Feet? Musicians help others with sound. Name people who make a difference and what body parts do they use. Write a description.
