Co-ordinate Resources into and out of SHA Logistic Support to USAR, MD & HVP Communications Link to IC, EISG, FRSNCC & Advisers Mirrors ICS Command Support Crew from Host FRS with Trained Command Support Officers Primarily for National Emergencies & ND – Local Use for Skills Clear CFOA making a Contribution and influence could be even greater Current planning assumptions envisage several hundred ND resources and associated support vehicles and crews arriving at the “scene” within the first few hours of a major emergency While all FRSs have command support teams, few, if any have sufficient staff with the requisite skills to manage and coordinate a response of such magnitude A “national” command support system mobilised by the FRSNCC under the national Mutual Aid Protocol in support of an affected FRS Incident Commander following the Level 4 deployment of ND operational capabilities A support system that would operate from a Strategic Holding Area and be capable of managing many of the complex coordination and logistic support tasks on behalf of the Incident Commander allowing the Incident Commander to focus on the operational environment A support system that consists of a mobile support vehicle, a national cadre of trained personnel operating within a common set of processes and protocols, and a briefing / debriefing / office facility for assisting crews
