Learn how to search in infolink to locate the information you are seeking. Additionally, you will learn how to set your Profile data to ensure you receive notifications from Weidenhammer.

3. infolink
Weidenhammer posts important information on infolink such as User Guides, Presentations, Training Recordings, Product Downloads, alio Intelligence Reports, Product Alerts, Forums and Announcements.
If you are new to infolink, the first thing you need to do is register. This can be done by accessing the Weidenhammer infolink page:

Once you are able to log in you will see Home, Forum, and Profile tabs. The Admin tab is only visible and used by Weidenhammer staff.
Home
View news and recent posts.
Search for information including recordings and user guides.
Forum
View questions, comments, helpful hints from alio users.
Profile
Change your password.
Identify your alio Intelligence URL for downloading aI reports.
Select the type of notices you want to receive and which product information you want to view. This is very important!
Select an Avatar that displays in the upper right corner and in forum entries.

5. Infolink - Home Home tab Displays News and Recent Postings.
Contains filters used to search for Product Downloads, Recordings, and Documentation.

When searching for information in infolink on the Home tab, it is recommended you use the Resource Id, if known.

The Core alio User Guide Publications List will always be Resource Id The listing includes Resource Ids for alio user guides.
The most current alio Retired and Renamed Programs will always be Resource Id 3171.
The most current alio New Programs Workbook will always be Resource Id

If the Resource Id is not known, we recommend you first select a value in the Limit to Product field.

9. Infolink - Home
More filter options may become available once a you select a product to limit your search.
We recommend you use the additional filter options to further reduce the search results.
You can select more than one option to filter the search. Additional options for the alio product are:
Limit to Resource Types
Limit to Versions
Limit to Modules
As you begin typing in the Text Search box, the system will make suggestions based on documents found in infolink.

10. Infolink - Home Limit to Resource Types for alio:
Product downloads
Recordings
Documentation
Selecting Documentation will select all the sub categories.
You can select specific types of documentation, such as Presentations and Release Documents, rather than all documentation types.

11. Infolink - Home Limit to Versions for alio:
[Latest] option will select the most recent posting.
Select an individual version to view, for example, to locate the documents such as release notes for only.
You can select more than one option.

Example search: finding information for Leave Processing.
Limit to Product to alio, select User Guides Resource Type and search with text “Leave”.

By using the filters you can reduce the amount of content.
Limit the Product: alio
Limit with Text Search: Leave
Limit to Resource Types: User Guides
Limit to Modules: Payroll System
Instead of seeing 180 documents, there are now 13.

15. Infolink- Home
Another great way to search is by using the program number.
In this example I searched on foedt01a, Order Edit List program number.
There are 6 search results.

16. Infolink- Home There are many word search options available.
Click on the online help option to list multiple ways to use Text Search.

Once your initial search lists items to select from, you can sort the listings by Date, Title or Best Match.
Sort by: Date
Sorts by the date the document was posted to infolink or the document was updated.

18. Infolink- Home Sort by: Title
Sorts by the document title alphabetically.
With this search, I might want to add a filter for Limit to Versions [Latest] so I don’t see the old release content.

19. Infolink- Home Sort by: Best Match
Sorts by locating the document that best matches your text search value.
HINT!
To start over and begin a new search, simply double click on the HOME tab.

20. Infolink - Forum
The Forum tab lists different forums broken down into various categories. Join the conversation!
It is used to communicate with fellow alio users.
Post a question for alio users, respond to a user post, or post tips and tricks that you feel may be useful to others.

The Forum tab has sub categories: forum listing, recent topics, recent posts, search forum, and users.
Forum listing provides a list of forum topics. This is the default selection.
Recent topics will list main topics in the order of most recently created.
Recent posts will show information from the most recent post within the topic(s).
Users lists members of the alio community who have posted information or responded to posts.

22. Infolink - Forum
Select a forum to review posts from other alio users, post a new question or a tip, create a new topic, or mark the forum for new topics or new posts.

Select the topic to view all the posts relating to the topic.
You can reply to the post, rate the post, and/or become a watcher of the topic for replies.

24. Infolink - Forum
Becoming a watcher for a topic or replying to a post will trigger an to be sent to you.
The thumbs up and thumbs down are ways for you to rate the post. Thumbs up indicates you found that information helpful, for example. You can select the Show Rated Messages Only.
The permalink option allows you to copy the web address for the specific topic post in order to or send to someone you feel might be interested in the information.
Report to moderator will send an to the Weidenhammer staff assigned as moderator for the topic.

25. Infolink - Forum
Search for text within the forum enables you to search for topics and posts.
I searched on “ACA” everywhere in the forum.
Select GO and related posts display at the bottom.

26. Infolink - Profile
The Profile tab contains important information and selection options.
Change your password. Note: please do not use # in your password.
Identify your address and alio Intelligence URL for downloading aI reports.
Select the type of notices you want to receive and which product information you want available to view.
Select an Avatar that displays in the upper right corner and in Forum entries you post.
Be sure when modifying your Profile selections that you scroll to the bottom of the page and press the Save button!

Change your password
Click on “change Password”

28. Infolink - Profile Identify your alio Intelligence URL.
This is used when downloading alio Intelligence reports from infolink.
alio users can also upload reports they created and believe other districts may find useful.

Select the type of notifications you want to receive.
If you do not have a profile in infolink, you are NOT receiving Weidenhammer communications!
Weidenhammer uses the settings in infolink Profile to determine the types of notifications you receive.
Product Alerts: notifying you of a program bug that is more critical in nature.
Release Announcements: notifying you when a new version of the alio product is available for download.
Training: notifying you of new training sessions available on infolink or to register for a live web session.
General: Notices regarding the alio User Conference or Weidenhammer holiday business hours, for example.
Important Notices: information we need to pass along to you such as state/federal tax changes, modifications made to infolink, and changes for Java.

30. Infolink - Profile Limit the product content
What products are you interested in viewing and receiving notices for?
Only the licensed products for your organization will display for selection.
The selections are used for searching User Guides, Training Recordings on the Home page, the alio user Forum, and selected types of notifications you receive.

31. Infolink - Profile Select the appropriate alio SRC
Only the state(s) your organization has an alio state SRC license for will display.
Marking the SRC selection ensures you receive notifications regarding modifications to alio state programs and processes, training opportunities, and announcements.

32. Infolink - Profile Select an avatar
At the bottom of the Profile tab you can select an Avatar. There are a few to choose from or you can Browse and upload an image. The maximum file size is 15 KB and 100x100 pixels.
The picture you select will display at the top right corner of infolink when you log in.
It will also display when you input information or respond to posts on the Forum page.

33. Infolink – alio Intelligence
Use infolink to share alio Intelligence reports.
In the Limit to Product field select alio Intelligence.
Select alio Intelligence Reports Resource Type.
You will see available reports that have been uploaded by other alio users around the country available to download to your organization.

Click the report to see more information on the report as well as a screen shot, if one was included.

If you are interested in using the report, type in your aI user name and password for your alio Intelligence website.
The URL will populate automatically if saved on the infolink Profile page.
Click the Download button.
The report is sent to your My Favorites folder in alio Intelligence and a link is provided to access your alio Intelligence website.

36. Infolink – alio Intelligence
If you have an alio Intelligence report you would like to share with the ai community, you can upload it to infolink.
Go to Public Folders and select the alio folder.
You will see a document titled Upload to Infolink which is a hyperlink to another page on your server.

This page will show you all the alio Intelligence reports from your public folder and your favorites folder.
Select the report you want to upload and share with other alio Intelligence users.

38. Infolink – alio Intelligence
The InfoLink Title automatically populates using the alio Intelligence report title but can be changed.
Select a screen print of the report if you would like to include one.

39. Infolink – alio Intelligence
Provide your infolink user name and password and click Submit.
The data saved with the report will be purged prior to uploading it to infolink for your protection.
This means the data will be removed from your local copy

40. Infolink – alio Intelligence
The report will be uploaded to infolink.
You will be provided a link to infolink to review the download of the report.
