2. Sea Turtles
Adults of most species are found in shallow, coastal waters, bays, lagoons, and estuaries. Some also venture into the open sea. Juveniles of some species may be found in bays and estuaries, as well as at sea.
Sea turtles are found
in warm and temperate
seas throughout the world.

3. River Turtles
River turtles are found inhabiting freshwater environments all around the world from slow- moving rivers and streams to the calmer waters of ponds and lakes.
Generally, most species of river turtle have an omnivorous diet that is primarily made up of aquatic plants, grasses and leaves. Many river turtle species also hunt fish and mollusks in the water along with small reptiles and amphibians.

4. Tortoises vs. Turtles VS.
Most of the turtle species spend their lives in or near water. They have webbed feat, which helps them swim efficiently. They are generally more streamlined than their tortoise counterparts.
Almost all tortoise species are land-dwelling animals. They are typically larger, bulkier and heavier. The tortoise species have stubby feet with sharp claws for traction.
