Part I: Use your notes on page Part II: Percent error  “calculated mass” is the slope of your graph; “actual mass” is kg (the combined mass of the cart and hanger) To find TIME and VELOCITY use your equations on p. 8a Acceleration is the MEASURED acceleration for that trial. Don’t worry about dx vs dy…those only apply to PROJECTILES! We use the same equations when calculating horizontal movement (remember accelerating trucks, etc.). Calculate tension force: Fnet = Fw – FT where Fw is the hanger weight, and Fnet is the hanger mass times its measured acceleration Net force of the system: Fnet = (0.440 kg) x measured acceleration
