The Debate in “Economics”
Whether media concentration would lead to a lack of diversity of media contents and a commercialized media (e.g. C&H) if new technologies will bring out the crowd's wisdom. (e.g. TED talk and “The Shazam effect” from The Atlantic Monthly.)

What is your position? One sentence. State what regulator/company/audience member you chose in Position Paper 1. (You may change it but I strongly discourage it.)

What is your position? One para. (about ½ page)
2. State the position of the policy maker/company/audience member regarding: (1) or (2). Explain your position by summarizing sections from the class materials (Week 3 - Week 5 Lesson 1). Try to focus on one or two main points from the readings, this means one or two sections. No need for examples at this point. Any policy-maker/company/audience can agree with both perspectives. So choose the perspective that you find more convincing!

Audience member Examples for Pt 2.
For example … I identify as a LGBQT youth living in Somerville. My parents work very hard so I cannot afford to go to movies that often. But I seek out alternative places, such as free movie nights in the library, free classes at Somerville Community Access TV, and volunteer at the Boston LBGQT Film Festival. These events prove that the crowd is wiser than the mainstream media because according to the TED Talk, [add reasons.]
