The Tang (tahng) Emperor Wendi of the Sui (Sway) Dynasty, after 350 years, united north and south China Wendi’s most greatest accomplishment was completing the Grand Canal Tang Dynasty followed the Sui Extending to Afghanistan in the West, Tibet in the South and Korea in the East Empress Wu Zhao (woo-jow) became a Tang emperor, only women to ever do so in China’s history
