1. San Giovenale Triptych (1422)
This is said to be one of the first works of Masaccio that is located in the church of Casicia di Reggello near Florence, Italy. The piece is a panel artwork that depicts The Madonna with two angels and Jesus consuming a vine, as a symbol of the Eucharist. The panel on the left depicts Saint Bartholomew and Saint Blaise, and the right one shows Saint Anthony and Saint Juvenal (Giovenale). This artwork is said to be influenced by 14th century models, but the use of the perspective of the centre panel is what sets it apart from gothic styles. Also, the use of three-dimensional solidity makes the painting revolutionary for its time.

2. Masaccio ( )
Born in San Giovanni Valdamo, Republic of Florence. He is one of the first painters of the late medieval period and early Renaissance period. He was changing the style of painting by recreating lifelike figures and movements as well as a exceptional sense of three-dimensionality. During his career, he was the first to introduce linear perspective in his painting, employing techniques such as vanishing point in art for the first time. He also began to move away from the Gothic style for greater realism.

3. Expulsion from the Garden of Eden (1425)
A fresco that depicts a single scene from the cycle painted around 1425 by Masaccio. It shows the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, from the biblical Book of Genesis chapter 3. Cosimo iii de’Medici, in line with ideas of decorum, ordered that fig leaves be added to conceal the private parts of the figures. These were eventually removed in the 1980’s when this painting was restored and cleaned.
