EQ VS IQ Logan Ashton 5th Period Education

2 EQ emotional quotient, a (notional) measure of a person's adequacy in such areas as self-awareness, empathy, and dealing sensitively with other people.

3 IQ an intelligence test score that is obtained by dividing mental age, which reflects the age-graded level of performance as derived from population norms, by chronological age and multiplying by 100: a score of 100 thus indicates a performance at exactly the normal level for that age group.

4 Article IQ is calculated by dividing an individual’s mental age by their chronological age and then multiplying it by 100. EQ is a person’s ability to perceive, control, express, and evaluate emotions. EQ is more important than your IQ SEL programs in school are used to teach emotional intelligence skills, and social skills. EQ can be taught and strengthened through SEL programs Leaders have good EQ. People with great EQ sold 114,000, compared to people with bad EQ sold 54,000 of policies. High IQ helps you earn more money, do better academically, and are healthier in life. You still need a average or above average IQ to be successful in life. IQ used to be the primary source of if someone will be successful, now it’s not.

5 EQ Score I got a 89 on the EQ test.
I felt I did well, 84 out of 100 is not terrible, but can definitely be improved. I can improve my personal EQ by seeking out more ideas Generating more ideas from myself Staying more composed during tough moments

6 Examples of good EQ Good
When someone recognizes your idea in a group as a good one and uses it. Someone helps someone pick up their stuff off the ground when they dropped it. People do community service. You help your mom wash the dishes. When you help your parents with your pets.

7 Examples of bad EQ Bad When someone does not listen to you when you are talking. Someone that sleeps during a teacher's unit. Someone who only hangs out with certain people and doesn’t let anyone in. When a waiter treats you poorly because you have a big group of people. A person ignores you when you ask them a question. Being disrespectful to an adult, teacher, or administrator.

8 Different ways to improve your EQ
Can change directions quickly when circumstances change. Not letting obstacles slow you down when you are pursuing your goal. Hold yourself to your goals, don’t give up on them. Be self aware Be self motivated Be socially aware Always be organized Be able to talk to people in a professional manor.
