3. A reading from the Gospel of St John
Jesus said: Yes, it is my Father's will that whoever sees the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and that I shall raise him up on the last day.'

4. While this week we have been focusing on All Saints Day, this week we also have All Souls Day. All Saints celebrates those people who have died in faith that we raise up as models for our lives, All Souls Day celebrates all who have died.

5. God cherishes each of us and joins in our sadness when we lose someone that we love. We remember that Christ rose from the dead and conquered death. As people of faith, we believe that all can join with Christ in heaven. Today, we have the opportunity to remember and pray for all who have died, their families, as well as those people in our own lives who have gone on to eternal rest.

6. There will be a Book of Remembrance in St Joseph's Room throughout November. Please feel free to write the names of any loved ones who have died. These names will then prayed for at every Mass during November.

7. We ask Mary, to pray for all those we know who have died
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now
and at the hour of death.
